History

Established in 1935, Surrette Battery Company Ltd. is proud to be one of North America’s leading lead-acid battery producers and Canada’s only remaining independent battery manufacturer. Since 1959, the company has been located in Springhill, Nova Scotia, where we produce a wide range of Rolls-branded premium deep cycle batteries for use in Renewable Energy, Marine, Motive Power and Railroad applications. Rolls flooded and sealed AGM & GEL VRLA products are internationally recognized for their dependability, cycle life and outstanding quality.

Availability

Rolls Batteries are sold exclusively via our valued distributors & battery dealers. As a longstanding manufacturer, Surrette Battery Company has been successful in negotiating and establishing key partnerships with leading battery distributors and dealers throughout North America and around the World. Due to product specifications and weight, these agreements and the ability to ship and warehouse in large volumes have allowed us to improve lead times and minimize the associated freight costs, improving access and delivery to product for dealers and their customers.

Manufacturing

Surrette Battery Company Ltd. manufacturing plant is an ISO registered facility where safety is as important as product quality. Meeting the needs of our distributors who serve growing Renewable Energy and Motive Power markets around the globe, we’ve completed numerous expansions and upgrades in recent years and continue to advance our manufacturing facility and processes to meet demand.
